Kids Sea Camp Moves to Golden Rock Resort on St. Eustatius for 2026
The family dive vacation program Kids Sea Camp has announced the Golden Rock Resort on the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius as its new home for the 2026 season.

Kids Sea Camp, the long-running family dive vacation program that introduces children to scuba and snorkeling alongside their parents, has announced it will be basing its 2026 program at the Golden Rock Resort on St. Eustatius — a small Dutch Caribbean island often called "Statia" by those who know it well.
About Golden Rock Resort
The Golden Rock Resort is a 4-star contemporary property on the southeast coast of St. Eustatius, set against the island's dramatic landscape dominated by the dormant volcano The Quill. The resort includes a dedicated dive operation, making it a natural fit for a family program that places diving at the center of its activities. St. Eustatius is a constituent country of the Netherlands, sharing the same administrative structure as Bonaire and Saba — two other Caribbean islands celebrated for world-class diving.
St. Eustatius's underwater environment is notable for its historical significance as much as its biodiversity. The island was once known as the "Golden Rock" during the colonial era, when it served as a major trading hub in the Atlantic. That history is visible on the seabed: the marine park surrounding Statia protects cannons, anchors, and ballast stone from the 17th and 18th centuries, lying in shallow depths accessible to snorkelers and beginner divers alike.
Kids Sea Camp's Approach
The program is designed to accommodate children as young as 8 alongside their parents, offering a structured progression from snorkeling and bubble-making in shallow water to supervised open water dives for those who qualify. Marine biology sessions, night snorkeling, and underwater photography activities complement the diving curriculum.
For families considering the program, St. Eustatius is reachable via connecting flights through Sint Maarten (SXM) from major Caribbean hubs and transatlantic connections. The island's small size and tranquil atmosphere make it particularly suited to families with young children.
Registration information for the 2026 program is available through the Kids Sea Camp website.
